South Moor Together

South Moor Together is a grassroots community group made up of local residents who care deeply about our village.

We’ve come together to take positive, visible action to restore pride and connection in South Moor.

Every evening, volunteers from our village put on their high-vis vests and walk the streets—not as police or wardens, but as neighbours who believe in the power of presence and conversation. We spend a couple of hours walking, picking up litter, and saying hello to anyone who wants a chat.

Our goals are:

• To bring back a sense of safety and pride in our village

• To strengthen relationships between neighbours

• To create visibility and a positive presence on our streets

• To promote mutual respect and community spirit

We are not here to judge or patrol—we are here to connect, support, and be a reminder that South Moor belongs to all of us.

We believe that by walking together, talking together, and taking care of our shared spaces, we can build a stronger, safer, and more united South Moor.
